Volunteers needed! Turn passion into action

We need your help to create change locally and nationally. We invite you to turn your passion into action by volunteering. Each of you have a skill or talent that can help our Democratic Club achieve now and in the upcoming election. Please share your time and talents with us!

Visit https://signup.com/go/SgXHEHk and select the volunteer opportunity that matches your interest or let us know about a skill you have that you would like to lend. Please note that Event Assistance is one of our listed key needs and we have some immediate needs to help with the upcoming No Kings Day in Centreville on Saturday, March 28th.

No Kings Day event support needed includes:

  • Artists and creative types. Creating posters and activities. Work can be done at home or at our office in Queenstown on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays, 10 am-noon.
  • Media makers.  Publicize the event. Social media posts, posters, announcements, and more.
  • Security Angels. Work to maintain safety and comfort among attendees. Complete NK security, de-escalation trainings.  Join coordinators to meet with law enforcement.
  • Program coordinators.  Work on music, speakers, schedules and other programming for the day.
  • Set up.  Be at event site by 9:30 am. Hang banners and signs. Set up tables.
  • Work the event.  Staff tables with sign-up sheets, membership cards, literature, handouts, t-shirt sales, and more.
  • Cheerleaders/Noise makers. Stay active with protesters on the street; lead chants; build enthusiasm but monitor for bad behavior and coordinate with security.

For more info on No Kings Day, contact Marti MacKenzie at [email protected]. Thank you!
